These terms govern your use of QuillVoice, the offline voice dictation app for Windows published by QuillVoice. By downloading or using QuillVoice, you agree to these terms.
The short version. Pro is a one-time purchase (no subscription), per user, good for up to 2 machines. 14-day money-back guarantee. Your audio and transcripts never leave your device. We don't promise perfect transcription — always check important text. Governing law is India.
1. License
Free tier
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the free tier of QuillVoice on your devices for personal or internal business use, subject to these terms.
Pro (one-time purchase)
Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. The license is per user and may be activated on up to 2 machines you own. It is verified locally on your device and works offline. Please don't share your key publicly.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except as permitted by law; (b) resell, sublicense, or redistribute the software without permission; (c) circumvent license verification; or (d) use QuillVoice for any unlawful purpose.
3. Payments & refunds
Pro is a one-time purchase processed by our payment provider. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee — if QuillVoice isn't for you, email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. After 14 days, purchases are non-refundable.
4. Updates
QuillVoice may check for and install updates. Pro includes one year of updates from purchase; after that you keep the last version covered by your license under the perpetual-use fallback. The update check sends no personal data, as described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Intellectual property
QuillVoice and its branding are owned by QuillVoice. These terms grant a license to use the software, not ownership of it. Third-party components (for example, the underlying speech-recognition models) are subject to their own licenses (for example, whisper.cpp and the GGML speech models).
6. No warranty on accuracy
QuillVoice is provided "as is." We don't warrant that transcription will be accurate, error-free, or uninterrupted — speech recognition makes mistakes. Always review dictated text before you rely on it, especially in anything important.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuillVoice isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of QuillVoice.
8. Privacy & your data (GDPR)
Your audio and transcripts never leave your device — there is no cloud processing. We don't collect telemetry without your consent, and update checks only happen after you explicitly agree (and send no audio or transcript data). 9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
